The first room we wanted to decorate is my 4 year old daughters bedroom.I wanted to start with the bedding as the bed is the focal point in a bedroom.A little tip:Buy the bedding before you paint the room.I stay away from beddings with characters on them as kids change their mind so often.My daughter loves animals .Both my daughter and me fell in love with the painted ponies peracle bedding from Garnet Hill.It had excellent reviews.We have already ordered one and cant wait to recieve it.The bedding is back ordered and we should hofefully get it by end of November.Looks like a lot of little girls love ponies.

Super Super cute girly rooms. I went all out for my little girl (because you only live once)! We saved up money and bought her the Stokke round crib and a Dwell Studio bedding Set with wall stickers of a Cherry Blosson tree from Israel. It has been so much fun decorating her room (and my son's too, his is surfer). Enjoy the decorating. The sky is the limit!

In another 2-3 years, the door will be always closed and there will be posters all over, all "Vampires" "Warewolves", "Startrek Characters"

These are really cute bedding sets. I transitioned my toddler to a big girl bed right before she turned 3, and she loves it. We stayed away from characters, because like you said what they like today, they probably will not like tomorrow. Great post!
